Storm Events Can Result In Severe Roof Damage
Wind and Hail Damage Roof Repair
Whether the wind and hail was a result of a hurricane, derecho, or tornado, it is sure to result in damaging roofs, gutters, siding, vehicle, and other damage. Many times these damages are visible to homeowners, but storm damage can be tricky, and is something that should be assessed by a professional.
Often times storm damage like unsealed, missing, and creased shingles cause by wind, as well as hail damage is not visible from the street and sometimes even from the roof if not being inspected by a storm damage specialist. Even when these damages are able to be seen, the damage is often more severe than it appears and portions of the roof and other items that appear to be undamaged, are in fact affected and can result in a current or future leak down the road.

Assessing the damage
After a storm, immediately contacting a roofing company that specializes in storm damage should be the first thing that you do. The roofing representative can identify and record all storm damage and also determine whether your roof should be tarped to prevent interior leaks.
Just as important as the aforementioned, the roof inspector can determine whether you should file a claim with your insurance company. If that is what is suggested, they will file the claim with you and meet the Insurance Adjuster on the roof during their inspection and ensure the proper components and damages are properly accounted for and that you receive everything that you are entitled to in order for your property to be restored to pre-storm conditions, or better.
